Urgent Message from LCDP Chair

It is no secret that the Republican Party no longer exists and has been taken over by MAGA, which is made up of many racists. They prove this in their dog whistles to racism.
It is disheartening and disturbing that this has been recently proven so blatantly in Lubbock.
The Lubbock County Democratic Party condemns this recent post by Lubbock Young Republicans with one of the most offensively racist terms used towards the Black Community.
Our Party calls on all Lubbock leaders, State & local electeds, the local media and Lubbock residents to speak out against this abhorrent racism and to hold those responsible & accountable for posting this.
Shame on the Lubbock Young Republicans, shame on those who are in this photo, including a county commissioner, shame on those who are in agreement by liking it, including a local candidate’s wife.
Shame on all who are accepting of this.

UPDATED HQ Hours & Volunteer Opportunities

We now have dedicated volunteers helping to keep our headquarters open.
Our current operational hours are:
Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00PM
Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 6:00PM
Thursday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Stop by to pick up a yard sign or swag!
If you are interested in volunteering to help staff the HQ so that we can expand our open hours further, please email secretary.lcdp@gmail.com and let us know so that our HQ volunteer coordinator will know to connect with you.

Submit a Resolution

Resolutions are how local Democrats formally say, “This is what we stand for,” and when adopted, they can move up to the state level and help shape the party platform, the comprehensive document outlining the values and policy priorities of the Texas Democratic Party. County conventions are where local issues like school funding, housing affordability, environmental protection, or voting access get real debate and visibility. If passed, resolutions can advance to the Texas Democratic Convention, where they may ultimately be incorporated into the final platform adopted by delegates from across the state.

If you wish to submit a Resolution at the Lubbock Democratic Party County Convention (March 21, 2026), please send it to the following email address by 3:00 p.m. on March 18, 2026: Sebastian Garcia,  democratresolutioncommittee@gmail.com
