County Democratic Parties in Texas are subject to the Texas Election Code,  Texas Democratic Party Rules, any local bylaws they may adopt, and where the rules and bylaws are silent, the most recent edition of Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised.

Be aware – Texas Democratic Party Rules online have not yet been updated to reflect changes adopted at the state party convention in June. The newest edition of Robert’s Rules of Order is not available online. Hard copies are readily available through booksellers like Barnes & Noble.

Bylaws are living documents and may be revised when a sufficient number of members deem it necessary. Lubbock County Democratic Party Bylaws have undergone many revisions over the years. The 2023 revision is almost complete.
